Some of his commitments include serving as the founding pediatric clinic coordinator for the UCSF Human Rights Collaborative, where he managed the clinic’s operations and partnership with our legal and community partners, and has led multiple forensic medical evaluations under physician supervision. Additionally, he developed immigrant health tools and curriculum with the Acute Care Innovation Center for the UCSF Department of Emergency Medicine, has consulted on and reviewed medical school curriculum through the Anti-Oppressive Curriculum Student Collaborative, and serves as the President of the UCSF Graduate and Professional Immigrant Advocates. In his spare time, you can find Leo cooking up meals, hiking with his two dogs, roller blading, biking, and listening to music. He also works as a camping and kayaking trip guide. Bridging creativity, innovation, and social justice within the health care space is what drives him to pursue medicine and a career in communal healing.
